We partnered with Heritage Valley Family Orchard to craft a website and brand experience that blends the charm of a calming orchard with a sophisticated, bougie vibe, perfectly capturing the essence of their Santa Paula, California avocado orchard.

CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGN
Crafted a calming, soft farmhouse-inspired website with airy layouts, sophisticated typography, and curated imagery to reflect the orchard’s bougie, country-club-meets-avocado-vibe.
BRAND DESIGN SUPPORT
Designed cohesive branded materials, including postcards, monthly “What’s Fresh” graphics, and digital gift cards, all reflecting the orchard’s artisanal, farm-to-table aesthetic.
E-COMMERCE SET-UP
Built a seamless subscription box platform via Wix Stores and integrated shipping through PirateShip, making farm-fresh orders effortless for loyal customers.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VISUAL DIRECTION
Curated and directed photography sessions with a professional photographer, capturing the orchard’s lush landscapes, premium produce, and serene farm-to-table experience in every image.

Website, Subscriptions & Ongoing Marketing
Heritage Valley Family Orchard is a family-run avocado orchard in Santa Paula, California. Alice wanted an online experience that reflected the care behind her fruit and made it easier for customers to purchase boxes, give them as gifts, and stay connected to life on the ranch.
Kinship Creative designed the orchard’s Wix website and continues to support its subscriptions, seasonal offers, customer content, and marketing. What began as a website project has grown into an ongoing creative partnership.
Making It Easier to Buy and Gift Orchard Boxes
We built the website around the ways customers actually shop: ordering avocado subscription boxes, exploring gift options, and discovering limited-release boxes for occasions throughout the year. We also help Alice manage the subscription offerings in Wix and set up new boxes as her ideas and the season evolve.
The goal is a purchasing experience that feels clear and personal, whether someone is treating themselves to a monthly delivery or sending a gift from the orchard.

Giving Every Delivery a Story
Each monthly box includes a postcard I design for Heritage Valley. Its QR code leads subscribers to a special piece of content created for that delivery, extending the experience beyond the fruit inside.
Together, the postcards, recipes, postcards and exclusive content turn a box of avocados into a culinary experience that supports a higher price point. Heritage Valley’s limited releases have sold out quickly.
The experience starts right after a customer’s first purchase. We designed an automated welcome email that gives new subscribers a helpful reference guide, so they know what to expect from their boxes and where to find the information they need. Each monthly delivery then includes a custom postcard with a QR code leading to content created for that box.
We also create recipe pages featuring dishes Alice makes on the farm and share updates from the Santa Paula ranch on the blog. These pieces give customers a closer look at the people, place, and ideas behind their subscription.
Creative Support Beyond the Website
My work with Alice continues between launches and deliveries. I help publish her Substack content for paid subscribers, create materials for limited boxes such as Cinco de Mayo and Super Bowl offerings, and work through new marketing and customer-experience ideas with her.
That ongoing collaboration lets the website, box inserts, recipes, and subscriber communications feel connected—even as the orchard introduces something new.
The Result
Heritage Valley now has a flexible online foundation for recurring avocado boxes, gifts, and limited releases, supported by content that keeps subscribers connected to the ranch. Alice's goal was to diversify her offerings and increase the value of California grown produce. Together, we have dialed down a system that works not only for her Santa Paula farm, but for her customers, income and overall offerings.
